2012-2014

Green field construction facility for manufacturing Ammonia Nitrate solution.

Maintenance Manager

Member of site leadership organization responsible for building the new culture and facility. Interviewed and hired nearly 70 new employees over my tenure at the facility, installed the CMMS system, and document management systems. Instrumental member of site LOPA meetings, engineering review and construction meetings needed to meet the major construction milestones. Production has not yet begun on this facility.

INEOS, Whiting, IN 2006 – 2012

A manufacturer of polybutenes producing 194 million pounds (88,000 tons) per year, operating 24/7/365, situated on 40 acres and employing 50 people.

Reliability Engineer

Member of Site Leadership Team, Site Union Management Safety Committee; successful implementation of new union contract with change in work responsibilities and change of watch rotation.

Managed outside vendor support for preventative maintenance programs for electrical and mechanical maintenance systems; multiple contracts with multiple shared services without incident. Monitored and supervised site Chief Inspector activities to ensure all vessels, relief valves and equipment inspected and maintained in accordance with associated Federal, State and organizational requirements.

Maintenance Specialist (Rotating)

Coordinated maintenance activity on rotating equipment which included pumps, compressors, gas turbines, conveyors, bucket elevators, kiln dryers, valve operators, gearboxes and associated machinery. Supervised a staff of up to 20 rotation technicians (millwrights and plant personnel) represented by two separate unions.

Provided 24/7 coverage for machinery repair and troubleshooting. Established vendor repair program; coordinating repairs of pumps, turbines and motors with average annual expenditure of $500K, managed outside repair facilities activities and assisted in management of storehouse spare parts inventory. Streamlining the repair process and consolidating like spare components for the inventory system; standardizing parts for Goulds pumps and mechanical seals across the complex.
