Review of ITC’s factory’s compliance, with regard to Human Resource policies, as defined by government acts such as Factories Act, Apprentices Act, Employment Exchange Act, Contract Labour Act, Maternity Act, etc.

• Reviewed current “compliance list” maintained by each factory in 3 states. Each state has significant differences in the acts that govern the HR activities of factories.

• Researched over 50 government acts concerning 3 states to identify over 120 gaps in compliance for the factories

• Apart from a completion letter, I was also given verbal feedback appreciating the work done, specifically for Karnataka factories, since the compliance gap was significantly large

• This was the first time I looked into women business leaders and hence read more about other leaders like Indira Nooyi & Sheryl Sandberg gave me role models to help me in my career.

• Identified indicators of low morale and how to measure morale;

• I also identified the mental condition & attitudes of individuals & groups that determine the willingness to cooperate

• Understood traits & skills of a good leader and functions & responsibilities leaders should take up

• Identified causes of disputes leading to strikes and lock-outs; Understood methods used to resolve disputes
