PICS are a database management system that GSA uses for product and publication information. It is a single, consolidated, accurate and up-to-date information source for all products marketed by the GSA. PICS also allows for the creation and modification of product information. PICS also provide product information, by means of daily electronic file transfer routines, to GSA Advantage, EDMS, CSC, and FSS19 Applications. Physically PICS comprises three components: a database for storing and processing product item data, a windows program which serves as an application interface, and various automated batch processes which run after hours to update the database and to send product information to various sub-systems.

FSS Online (Security):

Security Application is an application used to manage user access to GSA Financial systems like such as FSS online, Data Entry, ORS, SWS, eOffer, ECMS etc. All business rules are centered around the user Groups/Sub-Group assignments with a Security Control Definitions.
