Sr. Technical Analyst / Programmer Analyst (159 months)

HR and Payroll System

This is payroll, associate administrative, benefit and progress tracking system. Integrates employee absence, vacations, sick time and time worked by individual associates with the payroll system for proper cost analysis. Calculates payroll, taxes and other deductions and transmits the bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll run results to the banks for direct deposit to individual associate accounts.

Enrolls associates in life, health and dental insurances, other benefits like associate credit card system, and communicates with Human Resources departments, insurance companies and credit card companies. Keeps track of each associate annual rating, courses taken and progress and reports to corporate human resources and individual cost centers.

HR, payroll, benefits, taxes and third party interfaces including legislative interfaces

1.1Worked on HR and Payroll System on COBOL, DB2, and CICS in an IBM mainframe environment. The project was for enhancing existing functionalities for the modules;

1.2Conducted all phases of the systems development life cycle including systems analysis, project design, development, and testing and maintenance for the various financial systems, and applications;

1.3Gathered, validated and documented business and technical requirements for the various systems. Analyzed requirements and assessed feasibility of various technologies and design options to finalize functional design requirements and technical specifications;

1.4Worked with business team members and the IT development team to help solidify requirements and develop technical specifications for system design, development, testing and implementation;

1.5Analyzed, designed and developed system components, interface and operational environment using File Aid, ENDEVOUR, CICS, COBOL and DB2 in an IBM mainframe environment;

1.6Implemented quality assurance standards to be used during the implementation phase, designed programs and presented program designs, and wrote modules and procedures following the standard Systems Development Life Cycles;
