Present Assignment: -

Since September 2011onwards serving as a Pharmacy Executive in “Apollo Hospitals”, Chennai. Apollo Hospital is one of the largest ISO & NABH certified hospital in south India.

Key Contributions:

Supervising a team of 42 peoples, provided with superior training and guidance on a day to day activities and below mentioned are the key responsibilities handled:

Daily sales reports are retrieved from the pharmacy software and those reports are sending to the accounts department & top management.

Monitoring of 5’S system to maintain the working process as per the standards.

Regularly monitoring the front office area to ensure the customer satisfaction criteria.

Maintenance of stock inventory & purchase of all medicines through purchase department.

Monthly twice conducting the department meetings with all employees to share the latest drug formulations, list of drug recall, discussing about the department problems those are sorted out immediately.

Maintenance of narcotic registers, Scheduled drug register, inventory register, new arrival register, cash register, nil-stock register, etc…

Served as a Sr. Pharmacist (Pharmacy In-charge) with “Global Hospital and Health City”, Chennai for a short period. Global Hospital is one of the NABH certified chains of Hospitals having more than 5 Hospitals in India with annual turnover of more than 30 crores.

Key Contributions:

Supervising a team of 16 people, provided with superior training and guidance on a day to day activities and below mentioned are the key responsibilities handled:

Daily making ward rounds to get feedback about the pharmacy from the concerned ward in-charges, nurses and duty Doctors.

Handling the daily sales of the In-Patient Pharmacy, Out-Pharmacy and Operation Theatre Pharmacy. Helping the team members with regards to medical terminologies during day to day activities.

Allocation of assignments to the team members and maintaining the attendance and leave records of the team.

Direct marketing of the products to customers who walk into the IP and OP pharmacies.

Maintaining of Inventory of medicines and re-ordering the medicines whenever it is necessary.

For NABH certification standard drug formulary was created and booklet was released in presence of Hospital Chairman.

Previous Assignment (B):-

Served as Sr. Pharmacist & Supervisor for the period of 2006-2008 (2 years) with “Medplus Pharmacy” a unit of Optival Health Solutions Pvt., Limited. Medplus is one of the largest chains of pharmacy concern having more than 500 branches in South India.

Daily total sales report was collected from the allotted 5 branches then those reports was send to Head of the Department through email.

Ensure that all the branches are sending their drug requirements which include bulk and urgent requirements through online indents to the purchase department.

Monthly duty chart and leave aspects are very well maintained.

Monthly once attend the management meeting and discussed about the performance of the each and every zone.

Three times we received best sales performance incentive from the top management.

Customer relationship skills meeting are conducted frequently to enhance the performance of the allotted zone.

Monthly once surprise stock verification was carried out and discrepancies of stocks are completely wiped off.

Ensure on daily basis all the branch heads are deposited their previous day sales cash in the respective bank branches. Finally total sales performance report and total amount deposited in the bank details are send to top management.

Served as a “Manager-Pharmacy” for the period of 2001 – 2006 (5 years) with Meenakshi Mission Hospital & Research Centre, Madurai. Meenakshi Hospital is one of largest in the country with more than 500 bedded with multi specialty and ISO 9001 certified.

Managing a team of more than 20 people, provided with superior training and guidance to enhance their performance to meet the SLAs and below mentioned are the key responsibilities handled:

Day to Day Activities:

Ensure the team maintains the Inventory of Medicines such as daily routine purchase of medicines with the help of re-order level Software tool.

Ensure the Goods received Notes are received from the suppliers on a daily basis and forward the same to Finance department for payments.

Ensure the team segregates the expired medicines on a monthly basis with the help of PMS (Pharmacy Management Software).

Ensure the team identifies the non-moving medicines and return those medicines to respective suppliers.

Verification of Narcotic registers whether entries are correctly loaded or any discrepancies are found.

Maintenance of employees appraisal note regarding the performance of the each pharmacist.

Ensure the registered pharmacists are verified and acknowledged in Scheduled H drug register and Narcotic Drug register.

Monthly once the duty chart was prepared and a copy sent to HR department for any reference.

Management Reporting:

Provide daily performance report of Pharmacy to the management on a daily basis.

Provide the monthly duty roaster to the HR Manager and get an approval for allocating the assignment to the respective on duty agent.

Provide the list of new drugs to each department consultant and collect the requirement of drugs.

Provide the team member’s performance & appraisals to the management on a monthly basis.

Conduct Weekly meeting with the team members to discuss about Importance of team work, Quality service to the customers, Stock Maintenance, any new work procedures, etc.

Weekly once the allotted stocks are verified with system stock and the list of short expiry drugs are taken separately then handed over to Pharmacy Manager.
