Was a part of Circle of Friends program that provides support to students with special needs. We had monthly social outings where the students were able to interact with the outside world-mall, park, walking, etc. We guided them with any work they needed help on in the classroom and gym. I sponsored and attended their prom as well.

Parkland Hospital:

Responsibilities: Provided patients with water, food, or any necessities they needed.

I completed 106 hours for the whole summer.

Baylor Medical Center:

Responsibilities: Computer work, faxing, answered calls, organized paperwork, made appointments for elderly patients.

I completed 42 hours for the summer.

Parker Chase Preschool/Daycare center:

Responsibilities: observed children’s behaviors for my educating young children class, helped teachers with activities for the kids, served snacks and drinks after nap time, interacted with them during play time.

Miracle League:

Responsibilities: observed (special needs) children’s abilities to play sports such as baseball and flag football by encouraging them to do their best and helping them pitch or bat the ball.
