Over thirty-five years experience as owner and operator of a small business. Progressive responsibilities in accounting and sales prior to being self-employed, including a small tax accounting business with over seventy-five clients.

EXPERIENCE:

Owner and Operator (1975 to 2012). Responsible for all aspects of running a small business including taxes and financial reporting.

Maintained all accounting, purchasing, sales records and tax reporting.

Supervising the proper handling of all licenses and bonds that are required by the Federal and State Governments, including proper and timely payments of all taxes due.

Filing of all necessary forms for the preparation of the personal tax returns for the seven owners of an S Corporation.

Office and Internal Control Manager (1970 to 1974). Responsible for all financial and administrative activities of a 6 million dollar fully owned subsidiary.

Directly supervised 4 office clerks and 50 Teamster Union employees and indirectly supervised 10 salespeople.

Responsible for union contract negotiations and indirectly involved in all sales activities.

Set up and implemented complete accounting system and operational procedures for newly owned branch subsidiary.

Planned delivery routing for 23 truck operations.

Developed profit and loss statements by T.V. area for marketing managers Accounts Payable Supervisor (1966 to 1968). Responsible for processing and prompt payment of all payables ($125 million). Reconciliation of all vendor statements and general ledger accounts. Cost and Property Accountant (1965 to 1966). Main duties included preparation of annual budget, preparing monthly statements, reconciling various accounts and special projects as directed by management; also responsible for maintaining the necessary records for all property and equipment. State Farm Fire and Casualty (1963 – 1965)

Management Accountant (1963 – 1965). Completed comprehensive training program on all aspects of the insurance business that lead to a managerial and supervisory position responsible for general control and proper handling of all accounting records.
