I have supported the Enterprise Development activities of the BIZ+ development program, funded by USAID. The main responsibility that initiated, coordinated and managed public-private investment partnerships (Small and Medium Businesses) and assisted potential business partners to prepare a Concept Note about their plan to expand or develop their business activities and coordinates the implementation of USAID approved VEGA\BIZ+ partnerships. My desk at VEGA\BIZ+ Vavuniya/Jaffna, Northern Province and frequent travel to meet with potential partners and stakeholders throughout North and East and elsewhere as needed to support the program and engaged with business grantees and other supporting partners.

Conducted awareness meetings with potential business partners, to build understanding on how to work with and receive support from BIZ+; Identified target investment opportunities for the program; Analyzed investment opportunities for the program; Evaluate concept notes providing written and verbal feedback to potential business partners, complete site visits, set and communicated priorities for investment opportunities, and build relationship with partners to lead them through the investment application process; Analyze business accounts and sales and financial projections;

Coordinated and conducted due diligence activities and tasks as needed as instructed by the Chief of Party; Maintain complete and accurate information and documentation for all business concepts received, all communications with potential partners and grantees, and all communications about evaluations and decisions made;

Managed the humanitarian project, funded by ECHO. As Project Manager of the project, contribute to and facilitate the development of the project approaches, strategies, and operational plans; implementation and assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual work plan and provide input for timely revision of work plans throughout the year. Ensure that project plans are designed in line with programming principles, policies, and procedures, and that they are followed while implementing; ensure that Mission initiatives are communicated to and clearly understood by partners and ensure effective oversight of collaboration that will lead to impact.

Responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring of a multi-year integrated Organization Development/Community Based Health/Disaster Management program, with a key emphasis on the work. Assist branches to form, and develop and strengthen at least three divisions and related units by ensuring the program integrates local community needs, and other branch implemented programs in CBH and DM, while remaining aligned with the SLRCS Five Year Development Plan and the approved branch-level strategic and annual operational plans.

Ensured that program branches receive the required finance, technical, administrative and other supports as stated in the CRC-supported OD program plan and budget. Responsible for management and implementation of the School-based psychosocial and health programme for children in Jaffna, supported by the Danish Red Cross and IFRC, funded by EU. The programme was to reconstruct the resilience of the school children who are affected by the war. Manage the programme for children at community, division and district level; plan, facilitate, supervise and support implementation of all project components at community level; monitor progress of activities according to plans and undertake regular and frequent field visits; take action to re-direct activities if weaknesses are identified.

Ensure the guidelines and regulations related to volunteer management, financial management, etc. are strictly followed; ensure the rules and regulations for vehicles is adhered to, including maintaining of log book, servicing of vehicles in accordance to regulations, weekly planning of movements etc.
