(09/18 – Present) Senior Consultant Engineer

My position was located at a client location representing LTI Company as a site Field Service Engineer working with the site’s SME and Technical Service site IT Engineering Team. The day to day duties were to report to SME with strategic planning on supporting and resolving POMS and MES applications incident issues from production manufacturing on the Plant site. The incidents were reported through desk help and expedited to our IT Technical Support Engineering team where I would be involved in the troubleshooting into POMS software application for weight, torque and fills to resolve problem issues escalated from production, quality and manufacturing.

I would setup Priority levels P1-P4 calls involving GCC supports from industry experts in joining into a call with other experts or service technician to figure out the best way to approach and resolve unfamiliar issues in production or manufacturing. All resolutions are agreed from SME Technical Service team, and compliant to standard operating procedures regulated from site to perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis and permanent resolution of the incident. My job duties were to run the over all operations of the South African based company in the U.S. as a full production and manufacturing facility for it BioPharma manufacturing of supplemental dietary capsule product. As the Engineer, my responsibilities were to maintain the manufacturing MES machines functionalities to run production with high speed output rates. I scheduled the Preventive Maintenance program and parts replacement. I performed overall MES machines function such as PLC programming editing and monitoring, setup uploads and downloads. I installed Servos motors, motion drivers, VFDs setup installation testing, and troubleshooting. Managing personnel, hiring and replacing personnel, setting up weekly production scheduling and Product batch change overs. Also as a Project Manager, I had a budget of 2.7 million dollars to design the facility for 3 lines of production running MES automation to handle more than 1 million finished goods products per week. The design and layout included design of electrical control panels, all BOMs, P and ID piping, vacuum, air and water flow to machines 1, 2, and 3.

(02/15 – 05/17) 2yrs 2mos Controls Automation Engineer

Job duties were to monitor the automation MES processing machinery of manufacturing the vaccine drugs packaged daily on site. This is a 3 shift operation that required onsite engineering to monitor and service all of the performing machinery running POMS picklist application. I wrote the development code into existing POMS software to mix product ingredients required to run mixing of the three added color ingredient within this process. Additional duties were to program PLC batch processes for changeover recipes to run different methods for different vaccines. Program changeover meant writing additional code into SAP and POMS / MES to a program weighs, torques and filling heights. PLC Platforms were Siemens PCS7 Simatics, and Allen Bradley processors using Rockwell SLC500, Compactlogix 5000 and Controllogix platforms. For HMI, wonderware ITouch, IFix, POMS, Delta V, Panelview Factory Talk, and RSView were used to operate and control the methods to run. Delta V certification required, I obtained certification.

Duties also included troubleshooting the root cause of equipment malfunctioning, errors, alarms, and communication failures. All maintenance work performed required the assigned Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for specific equipment service performed to.

(01/12 – 03/15) 3 years Project Management Engineer / System Validation

Duties as a Program Engineer / System Validator were to develop projects in Mexico that controlled the operation of OEM machine equipment manufactured by NETZSCH Premier Technologies in the Milling, Grinding, and Pumps industry that exceed more than 3 million dollars. All equipment was programmed from Allen Bradley PLC’S using Rockwell Automation software versions 24 and 28. Equipment programming were developed by using SLC/04, SLC/05, and Micologix 1100 CPU’s for program developed using RSLogix500 programs for older instrument. Newer equipment were programmed by using RSLOGix5000 platform with processors Compactlogix 1769- L16ER, 1769-L353, 1768-L43, and the L232EM All communication setups were done using RSLinx classic. Panel view HMI’s were created using Factory talk manager, and developed in Factory talk view studio. I also had to do program conversions from SCL/500 to RSLOGIX 5000. Other programs used were direct soft and Proface ladder logics.
