MUSICAL BACKGROUND

I belong to third generation of musician and teachers. Father is a Professional vocalist/Professor and former head of the music department at PU, Chandigarh and Mother is a Sitarist/Vocalist and Principal of music Institute “Gandharva Mahavidyalaya” Panchkula. I have been performing on stage since early childhood in Indian Classical Vocal, Tabla (Percussion) and Guitar. While growing up developed a fond liking for guitar and composing and established as a forte.

WORK/ TEACHING EXPERIENCE

•Self employed at Gandharva Studios – been composing, recording and mixing since 6 years to present.

•Teaching guitar/ Indian classical vocals at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Music Institute, for the past 9 years to present and preparing students for Diploma courses and exams.

•Teaching as a hobby guitar teacher for the employees at “Infosys” a multinational IT company from 2009 to present.

•Taught Guitar at “Bridge Music Academy” Chandigarh, affiliated to London from April 2011 to May 2012.

RECORDING AND COMPOSING SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

I am running recording label and a studio since 6 years, with quality equipment . My compositions are versatile, with songs ranging from Western Rock/ Pop to Semi Indian Classical. Have composed and recorded with a Bollywood singer and jingles for professional business companies as well.

Currently, working on a Punjabi & himachali project to be released commercially as a composer and engineer and video director( All in one)

PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE

I have been actively involved in stage performances from very young, expertise in various genres of guitar playing “Progressive Rock” “Pop” “Jazz” and “Indian Classical”. I have been playing for popular bands in India as well like “Combo 3(Jazz), “The Local Train (Hindi pop)”, “Chapter 1(Metal)”, “Dhaatu (hindi pop)”,“And us (electronic)“.
