Mini project: A design of guyed transmission towers – The guyed transmission towers project costs are approximately 10-15% less than a self-supporting equivalent line. The towers are analyzed using STAAD Pro V8i.The maximum compression and tension capacity of the members are obtained .The combined grillage foundation is designed Main project: A study on permeable concrete using GGBS (ground granulated blast furnace slag) – Permeable concrete is traditionally used in parking areas, residential streets and greenhouses. Optimal mix design for M30 grade is determined in our study for maximum compressive strength and porosity. GGBS has been partially used along with cement for Greener construction techniques. Compressive and tensile strength along with permeability has been investigated at regular intervals of 3, 7 and 28 days with aggregate cement ratio 6:1.
