M. Tech Thesis – Micro-Simulation of Activity Based Travel Demand Model for Thrissur City using Cube
Travel demand of the study area is estimated with the help of simulating activity based model developed for the study area using CUBE software.
Various surveys carried out are: Household questionnaire survey and origin destination survey.
With activity based modeling approach, four different models are developed. They are: activity pattern model, destination choice model, mode choice model and time of day choice model.
Multinomial logit modeling is the technique used for developing the four different model in SPSS software.
B. Tech Project – Performance Improvements of Unsignalised Intersection by Proposing Roundabout and Flyover
Proposing a flyover and roundabout in Westfort junction of Thrissur, Kerala, which can reduce the traffic congestion and to simplify the traffic flow pattern.
Proposal is done on the basis of the traffic coming in the particular junction. For that, manual traffic volume survey and video-graphic surveys are conducted.
The flyover and the roundabout are design based on the IRC recommendations and which is plotted using AutoCAD software based on the actual site condition which is surveyed with the help of total station.
