Understanding key challenging factors to integrate Blockchain technology into Healthcare sector in India

National Institute of Industrial Engineering, India May 2018 - Jun 2018

The study aimed to understand key challenging factors to integrate Blockchain technology into Healthcare sector in India. The interdependency of each factor was calculated using various DEMATEL (Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) Methods and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) to achieve following results:

The N-DEMATEL amounted to the same result as classical DEMATEL

Plotted IRM (Influential Relation Map) for 18 factors (10 ‘Causal’ factors and 8 ‘Effect’ factors)

Development of Design standards of asymmetric gears using Design of Experiments (DoE)

National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India Jul 2018 – Apr 2019

A predictive model was built in MATLAB to create multiple involute profiles of asymmetric gear designs and to study their effects under different simulations. Lewis factor was estimated for each asymmetry factor. The following results were obtained to develop a set of design standards of asymmetric gears -

Bending stress reduction of 25.5% with just 4.68% increase in weight

Significant increase in Torque capacity of the gear with increasing asymmetry

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Manufacturing Intern

Designed a new assembly line layout in AutoCAD to reduce cycle time by 18.5% (200 hours/year) & to improve vehicle route distance by 24.2%

Reduced non-value-adding activities in the assembly line through micro-motion study and six-sigma tools

Caterpillar, India Dec 2016
