Sears home services is exiting their physical data centers in Troy MI and IL and moving to AWS cloud environment for improvement in technology stack and to improve IT’s ability to respond quickly to dynamic business needs. Migrate certain file transfers, batch processes, and APIs to Mule soft, which will service as a Unified Integration Layer. Project was kick offed with Initiating on doing an analysis on the current environment, applications that are currently supported by other vendors, Tech that is already moved to AWS, ongoing projects and IT leadership expectations. Inviting and meeting with vendors (Wipro, Ensono, Insight, Datalink) having expertise in cloud and Data migrations and Working with various internal teams.
Retirement of existing inventory system
Home services current Lawson ERP system Item master handling over 4300 warehouses, 6 retail units is retiring and getting replaced by a new solutions provided by Infor for Inventory management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Financials of Sears Member Technology. This process needs lot of documentation help in terms of dependencies, limitations, existing inventory, accounting practices to help the vendor to plan the road ahead.
Mainframe retirement through Salesforce Service Cloud implementation
Sears home services whole IT Infrastructure is relayed in three mainframe applications called NPJ, NPR, NPN and then followed by middleware. Sears leadership goal is to migrate the mainframe applications over to salesforce
Responsibilities:
Worked on Project timeline (breaking down major milestones, dates and dependencies)
