Owner/Operator of a Private Pet Sitting business

From June 1996 to September 2019

I earned good attendance, a good record and built a good reputation providing personalized animal care in private homes and client’s farms. As well as, assisting clients with various other services such as small animal transport to and from groomers and vet offices. I also picked up and delivered food and medical needs for their animals.

I was entrusted with client’s keys and had full access to their homes to be able check on their property and feed their animals while they were away, including to checking on home necessities including electricity, heating and water to assure they were running correctly inside their homes. If not, I contacted various companies to fix non-working utilities. I also picked up mail, packages and newspapers and rotated lights for security purposes. I ran this business 365 days a year, and virtually took NO time off in 23 years. I kept many many of my clients for almost the entire length of the time I ran my business.

Even though I am still very active I do not want to keep up that pace. I want to slow down and work a normal 5 day a week job 8 hours a day or less. I am a hard worker and I am a people person and enjoy very much working with the public.

THEATER MANAGER

Prior to that business, I managed TWO successful movie theaters for a total of 20 years. From 1978 until 1994. Employing and supervising no less then 20 employees at any time. Another 364 year round job.
