Duties...

Check, inspect and test incoming raw material according to the code.

Check, inspect and test incoming welding material to ensure they meet job quality specifications.

Review shop drawing & standards.

Prepare the inspection Test Plan (ITP) for special jobs.

Ensure approved welding procedures, methods and consumables are used by qualified personnel to ensure all quality requirements of construction and fabrication is met in accordance with company procedures and international codes of practice.

Verify of welder performance qualifications.

Check & record welding parameters and verify compliance with approved welding procedure specification (WPS) and technical procedures.

Monitor welder performance and conduct visual inspection of welds and repairs of welds in accordance with company procedures and international codes of practice.

Check joints geometry.

Conduct fit up and dimension inspections.

NDT welding inspection and Evaluation test result.

Check the painting according to the procedures and job requirement specifications.

Site visit if there is any site claim from erection department and make an inspection report.

Internal auditing on departments to make sure they are working according to their procedures.
