Sr. Project Manager R&D and PMO

As a Sr. Engineering Project Manager @ Juul I define scope, schedule and budget as well as manage all aspects of the engagement within our R&D ATG Group, including project scope review (design development schedule, Compliance, Service Agreement, CMF, and Reliability test plan), PRD finalization, budget management, scheduling, planning, procurement of materials, testing setup, coordination and dissemination of test data and publish lessons learned. Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint), Keynote, numbers, Smartsheets, Box and Confluence.

Key Accomplishments:

Have successfully delivered a specialty lab testing device nicknamed “Izzie Can” to our internal trials team for real world testing deployment.

Helped in the design and bring-up of both Mountain View Lab space and San Francisco AIC 108 Lab space.

Have submitted to provisional patent 4 original concepts (Double-Header, Flavorator, One Hit Wonder, and Radiator) and hope to be submitting a few more ideas in the next couple months.

I was responsible for all procurement of R&D, both on the Engineering and Chemistry side, which included Quotes/POs for Lab Upgrades, Lab materials/Chemicals, and the procurement of scientific equipment/software and training to outfit and bring labs up to professional standards.

I led the design and build of a few lab test fixtures including FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) Spectrometry fixture, Aerosol test fixtures, Aerosol upper respiratory tract mold fixtures, PTCR (Positive Temperature Coefficient Resistor) initial testing rig, etc.

Additionally, I have provided original artwork and concept sketch-work (Industrial Design) for the Materials, Analytical Chemistry, Simulation and R&D teams to help with design ideation and presentation slides. I was actively a member in internal skunkworks projects with code names.

FLEX Invention Lab SF November 2015- May 2018

Project Manager

As Project Manager I defined scope, schedule and budget as well as manage all aspects of the customer relationship within our SF site, including quote support, project scope review (design development schedule, Compliance, Service Agreement, CMF, and Reliability test plan), PRD finalization, budget management, scheduling, planning, production, yield, quality, process improvement and finally deliverables. I was the face of Flex to my customers at this site. All customer concerns went through me. Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint).

I channeled issues/concerns/questions past any bottlenecks to the appropriate internal work cells and stakeholders; possible solutions were collaboratively conceived; I then relayed experience to drive customer communications and help lead my accounts to predictable and reliable project outcomes. Note: Since we were a small design office I performed the function of Doc Control, Buyer, Planner, PM, and help to facilitate production and shipping, finally commencing in project/product closeout, complete with postmortem and AR follow up. Our site was constantly focused on learning from each project to add to our knowledge base. We established a PM library on Confluence to compile and document past lessons learned.

At Flex SF, we were an Invention Lab, we served to help our customers realize a fully mature product ready for mass production. The roll of Flex SF was to hand off a realized production ready product to high volume or low-cost sites for mass production.

Key Accomplishments:

Successfully graduated 10 accounts through the R&D, EVT, DVT and PVT design/production process, and on to mass production facilities within the last 2.5 years.

Worked on exciting powered skateboard project, of which I designed and implemented Skate Racks to help with production floor logistics.

A proven problem solver; I evaluate issues and thoughtfully look at all available alternatives. Relying upon experience and ingenuity, I utilize existing or readily available resources, or design custom solutions, whichever is needed to address the most efficient solution.

Sanmina-SCI June 2006-2015

Program Manager

Primary function was as liaison between Operations and several customers. Communicated customer objectives and aligned them with corporate directives. Clearly defined scope, schedule and budget.

Managed all daily activities revolving around customer satisfaction, delivery, quality, quoting, ECO management, accounts receivable and engineering issues.

Reviewed SLA, LOA and/or Contracts with Account Managers prior to final approval.

Followed all procedures pertaining to proper Program Management. Helped in in yearly audit preparedness drills for both internal and external plant audits (ISO, ITAR, etc..)

Reviewed purchase orders from customers to assure compliance with the SLA prior to booking orders.

Chaired daily meetings with internal cross functional teams to ensure quality products and on time delivery. Assigning action items to team members and monitoring successful completion and closure of items.

Sat on special corporate council to review current credit standards and operations, and look to define new procedures that would help assure Sanmina lessoned risk and exposure due to how market forces affect customers and their ability to pay invoices. Mobile/Desktop WHQL Test Engineer

Responsible for systematically administering Microsoft WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Laboratories) logo program testing on ALL NVIDIA Mobile and desktop drivers.

Certified both NVIDIA universal driver releases as well as Tier 1 OEM builds for mobile/desktop design win bundles.

Extensive testing and certification background in Win98, Win ME, Win2000, WinXP, and Vista operating systems.

Worked directly with developers and cross functional stakeholders to test driver builds, report bugs, reproduce bugs for developers, verify fix and closure of software bugs, and ultimately deliver Microsoft tested and certified Graphics/Platform drivers on schedule.
