& gas sector with more than 25 years’ experience in HSE. During my 16+ years my tenure with RasGas (RG) I have worked in various positions starting with senior safety advisor up to the head of safety. I have experience of working in commissioning, operations, shutdowns and training. I have managed a multicultural team of professionals in terms of aligning the organizations expectations and improve the safety culture of the organization. • Liaise with corporate training on new safety training courses and offer accredited safety training for management and employees from all sections.

• Provide direct assistance and support to the Safety Manager in development and stewardship of the Safety Departments business plans, policies, procedures, objectives, authors’ internal & external reports for submission by the Safety Manager to RasGas Sr. Management, other business groups and shareholders.

• Identify the training and development needs for all employees in coordination with Asset Managers, Heads of Operations and Supervisors through the staff performance appraisal system, task and skills analyses and consultation with line managers. Determines costs accordingly along with overall project benefits.

• Provide the leadership and mentoring for the procedure development team by allocating and scheduling the resources for all procedure development and verification and ensuring the needs of the customers are met.

• Prepare special reports and presentations at the request of the Corporate Safety Manager and communicates at various Departmental and Sr Management Leadership Meetings.

• Manage Safety Officers from numerous Companies contracted to perform Shutdown activities, with man power exceeding 5000 personnel & ensure full training is in line with shutdown plan.

• Co-ordinates safety plans covering various Shutdowns at different stages of development due to the large numbers of Shutdowns being executed i.e. overlapping shutdown preparations.

• Provides input and support for the safe conduct of work by personnel associated with the development and operation of the Company’s LNG plant and associated onshore process, storage and loading facilities.
