WAITER / FOOD RUNNER
Looking for a position of Waiter and or Runner in a company where I can make use of my diverse skills in customer service and office administration in a highly dynamic work environment.
A food runner is responsible for bringing hot food to the diners or patrons at their tables. He/She refills water in glasses and brings additional items to the tables as well. He/She also relays requests for food items to the servers and kitchen staff. A polite, well spoken and hard working waiter with experience of working in a busy restaurant environment looking after the needs of patrons. Attentively at all times with a willing and helpful manner that is required to answer phone calls, taking reservations and prepare bills. Always approachable, cheerful and possessing good observation skills as well as the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Greet and escort customers to their tables
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
Inform customers about the day’s specials
Offer menu recommendations upon request
Perform regular cleaning and remove dust from glass surface and silver plates before usage for food.
Ensure cleanliness of workstations throughout the day and clean area before departure.
Maintain all food and beverages and ensure compliance to all safety practices and regulations.
Coordinate with food servers and ensure adequate supply of food from pantry to customers.
Assist team and provide effective training to company and ensure better outcome.
Participate in all meetings and trainings programs and maintain all confidential data.
Collaborate with authority to start work on time and maintain proper dress code to attend offices.
