10/2019 – Present: Senior Project Manager, Consultant, San Jose, CA

Currently in California working on a consultancy basis providing comprehensive Program and Project Management services the for a large Community College District in Northern California. The district includes two campuses which serve more than 22,000 students with more than 720,000 square feet of educational and support facilities. The master plan includes more than 15 projects per campus, in addition to multiple District wide facility projects and initiatives.

Projects included: Real Estate Mixed-Use projects, Healthcare and Hospital projects, High Rise Towers. Value of Projects: Varying in size from $30Million to $100 Million

Responsibilities include managing a team of client-facing project managers, ensuring all projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. Establish project management methodologies, and ensure they are implemented. Provide reporting to senior management on a monthly basis.

Projects: Educational Facilities, Healthcare facilities, Mixed Use. All Projects in Saudi Arabia. Projects value: from $20 Million to $500 million

Provided program/project management services and PMO set up. Developed Client project and program management capabilities. AECOM’s scope of services covered the following areas: Planning, design management, tendering, and project controls construction management, project controls ( cost and schedule management ), planning, design management, tendering, concept design of new school prototypes, QA/QC and HSE Management, including capability building and training program. Developed the Project Management Plan (PMP) as the core document for defining the basis of how the delivery of the program will be managed by AECOM to meet the Client’s objectives. This PMP outlined the program and its objectives, along with the Program Management approach to managing scope, schedule, budget and cost, quality, communication, risk, procurement, design, and safety, health and environment. The PMP included detailed procedures, forms, and supporting documents that covered the entire system/procedures to carry out the Program Management processes that were described in each aspect of the Plan.

Operational Duties & Responsibilities

Led the entire program with a team of AECOM Staff, including managing and monitoring the Supervision Consultants and the Contractors

Lead and managed all disciplines of the program management team to meet the overall program deliverables, including Construction, HSE, QA/QC, Engineering, Project Controls and Commercial management

Continuous interface with the client and all relevant Government agencies/departments

Accountable for all change requests and ensuring the correct process is followed throughout all phases of the projects.

Ensure the required support is provided to facilitate the timely payment of invoices and resolution of variations and claims

Lead the construction management team to ensure established processes and procedures are followed including the Client’s standards, policies and guidelines.

Ensure projects are executed within the timeframe, scope, budget, design and quality constraints and that all contractual requirements are met.

Lead and manage weekly progress meetings

Ensure effective communication between project management teams and the construction management teams

Review with project team all reports submitted by Supervision Consultants

With the assistance of the project team compile progress reports for the Client’s Regional Delivery Manager

Manage the project cycle from preconstruction, through design, through construction and final close-out. Monitor, coordinate and control all aspects of the project including time, quality, cost, value, risk, logistics, safety, quality and design. Act as the client representative, with full responsibility for project control and delivery on behalf of the Chicago Public Building Commission.
