I am in charge of subtitling educational video-clips aimed at Arabic-speaking students in Sweden.

Polyglutt Preschool and Sweet City

Together with the project manager, I help to develop new books and videogame content for preschool children in order to stimulate their bilingual skills (Arabic and Swedish). This project is expanding across various European countries and is searching for ways to enter the Arab world. The localization job is my main task here, as well as proofreading and being in charge of choosing the narrating voice for the audio books.

Studiestöd på modersmål, Coaching in Mother Tongue My job includes translating and coaching. The project is aimed at Arabic-speaking Students enrolled in Swedish schools who need help in understanding their textbooks. I translate and explain, in an Arabic audio-book format, the meaning behind the content of these books, which the students can listen to as they advance in their reading. INDEVELOP, Internship, Project Assistant, Stockholm I assisted the Project Manager planning and organizing the Swedish International Development Agency's international training programmes on UNSCR 1325, Women, Peace and Security in Conflict and Post-Conflict Countries, with focus on Gender based violence and women empowerment. The participants came from the MENA -region, Africa, South America and the Former Soviet Union.

Natívola Publishing House (Editorial Natívola), Granada, Spain I was in charge of finding new retail outlets for the company's publications. I also assisted with the marketing and distribution.

CERTIFICATES AND SKILLS

In 2017, I published my first poem collection in Arabic, entitled, When My Path Went Crazy. It was launched at The Sharjah International Book fair. This experience of seeing on paper my own creation of Arabic poetry, was most satisfactory. I am working on my second collection now, it will be printed soon this year. I have spent 6 months in Genoa – Italy, studying migration studies, this was within the European student exchange program ERASMUS+. This experience has improved my understanding of other cultures even further, through daily contact with students from other nationalities.

I have also lived in Spain and France for several years and maintain close ties with both countries. In 2011, I joined SWEA (Swedish Women's Educational Association in Paris) an association that works for promoting Swedish culture and traditions. I was during three years in charge of membership administration and communication between the Board and its members and other SWEA branches around the world. I was also a member of SWEA’s committee for Intercultural Relations.

I created CineRom, an art cinema club at the Romance Languages Department of Stockholm University, I managed copyright issues for film projections and coordination with the relevant cultural institutions, such as the Institut Français and Instituto Cervantes, as well as selecting the appropriate academics and experts to lead the after- film talks.
