Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Development – undertakes an extensive vendor evaluation process to establish both their credibility and capability based upon their reputation, financial position, quality and safety records to select the most suitable local or international master vendor. At Meydan Sobha LLC sourced marble from Carrara in Italy, purchasing this direct and arranging its shipping to Dubai, a cost saving to the client of 30 per cent.

At Meydan Sobha LLC agreed a white goods contract with Miele manufacturers that included a 10-year warranty and back up service that included 2 years’ free maintenance with direct delivery from Germany to Dubai. This produced a 27 per cent cost saving.

Financial Analysis and Contract Law – in completing commercial valuations takes a through approach to checking the capability of the potential vendor to execute orders, negotiating the best value for the client. At Meydan Sobha LLC selected ABB Germany as the home automation vendor for the project. This included the provision of switches and switch gears for luxury villas totalling US$8m, delivering a cost saving of over 40%.

Process Improvement, Policy & Procedures – produces clear, sequential procurement project schedules, policy and procedures working closely with the project and procurement teams on identifying key deliverables and actions to ensure materials are delivered on time. At Meydan Sobha LLC created and initiated this system which has helped in the successful completion of 1.2 bn Dhs Phase 1 of the project.
