Default of Credit Card Clients Analysis, UT Dallas Jan 2019- May 2019 Tools and methods: Python, Data Cleaning, Dummy Variables, Data Sampling, PCA, Logistic Regression, SVM, Decision Tree, Random forest, KNN, Gradient Boosting
Cleaned over 12k data by supplementing missing values and dealing with abnormal values, scaled features to normalize the range of variables, and transformed categorical variables into dummy variables or ordinal values based on feature characteristics
Developed data visualization using Python and Tableau, including Correlation Heatmap, Scatter Plot, Bar Chart, Bullet chart, and Area Chart. Resampled unbalanced dataset and divided datasets into 70% train and 30% test sets
Applied Principle Component Analysis to reduce the dimensionality of data into 5, which provided fewer complex data for later feature engineering
Analyzed the features of customers with credit card default by applying statistic models and deep learning models which concluded Decision Tree was the best predictive model with a 90% accuracy rate in testing dataset
