1.District Asset Protection Supervisor – Vancouver Lower Mainland District

The Home Depot Canada INC. (July 2017 – Feb 2020)

Primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud.

Preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement, and testifying in criminal or civil court actions.

Utilizing several tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, monitoring the store’s physical security, and driving a “shrink elimination” culture in the district.

Directly responsible for executing core programs and strategies relating to shrink mitigation, operational excellence, safety and environmental compliance in the district. Execution of core Asset Protection and Canadian Retail Store Playbook initiatives within the District. This includes sales, profitability, shrink, operations and safety.

Conducting quarterly Audits, Night Audits and Mystery shops for all the stores in the District.

Directly supervising 9 Asset Protection Specialists. Scheduling APs and monitoring theft/fraud activity in the District.

Create a 30-60-90-day action plan for the district and all stores. Partner/Status with the Store Managers/District Manager/District HR Manager on priorities.

Pay attention to deadlines, announcements, and weekly/monthly communications.

Plan individual discussions to review performance and metrics with the associates and APs and ensure the meeting is private and allows enough time for two-way dialogue.

Meet with the managers to discuss the mission, vision, and objectives of the business (Company, district/store) and the Asset Protection organization. Use the meetings to understand how each team's goals and objectives fit into the larger strategy. Also, meet with the district and regional leadership to understand their objectives. Talk with the peers about the business. Get their input on opportunities in their districts and any suggestions for improvement they may have.

Responsible for teaching, coaching and training APs to ensure the effective execution of core AP initiatives. Directly responsible for executing core programs and strategies relating to shrink mitigation, operational excellence, safety and environmental compliance in the district without adding complexity or tasking to the stores’ operation. Multi-task across stores within the district and gain the partnership of District and Store Management leadership teams and store associates to achieve goals.

Uses multiple store applications to identify shrink and theft opportunities within a designated division.

2.Security Operative for Elite Nightclubs, Lounges & Restaurants (Nov 2017 – Present)

Provide Security to elite Nightclubs like Drai’s, Trump Tower (Vancouver), Prohibition Lounge, Hotel Rosewood Georgia, Vancouver, Pierre’s Champagne Lounge, Vancouver, Cactus Club, etc.

Duties included to provide security and to prevent the assets of the client, to check legal age, to refuse entry for intoxicated persons, and to deal with aggressive behavior or non-compliance with statutory or establishment rules.

Carrying out mechanical design of equipment that ensures integrity and safety of the pressure envelope activities and ensure that the designs are executed in a safe manner; in accordance with design and engineering practices (DEP), codes, and standards.

Research, design, evaluate, install and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.

Planning all maintenance related activities including scheduling, follow up and progress.

Ensure that mechanical maintenance activities in the assigned area comply with the corporation and industry standards and safety requirements. Carries out maintenance & reliability studies & initiates actions for the replacement/ upgrading of equipment’s as well as improvement in work methods.

Design, construction, specifications, estimates and calculations and giving corrective actions, reviewing the modification with user departments and presenting the reports to the management about cost reduction, improving efficiency and reduced breakdown.

Testing and start-up of repaired equipment to ensure that they have been carried out according to process requirements and that equipment performs satisfactorily and assisting head mechanical in the preparation of annual lists of spare parts, consumable materials and special tools or test equipment.

Coordinate simulations required to confirm mechanical equipment integrity and fitness for purpose of in-service pressure equipment within the plant areas.

Developing construction methods that are efficient and cost-effective, and maintaining up-to-date equipment.

Equipment reliability analysis such as vibration and thermodynamics of Mechanical equipment to make sure the corrective action prior to catastrophic failure.

Formulate risk management plans.
