WORK EXPERIENCE
INTERNSHIP, AECI (CHEMICAL INITIATIVES) JULY 2019- JANUARY 2020
Main Responsibilities:
Sampling the product from the reactors to analyse whether it is within the required specification before the batch is complete, samples are taken every half an hour to analyse.
Calibration of lab instruments when arriving on shift.
Testing and treating of Boiler water, Softner, and cooling tower.
Writing handover for lab and conducting shift handover to on-coming shift.
Sampling a storage tank to send sample to Quality Control (QC) for final approval.
PROCESS OPERATOR/ LAB ANALYST, AECI (CHEMICAL INITIATIVES) FEB 2020-PRESENT
Key Responsibilities:
Writing occurrence report for the on-coming shift to brief them on the activities we did the entire shift.
Transferring products from tank A to tank B (final storage tank).
Adjusting flow of raw materials from SCADA (PLC) based on the analyses results to achieve the quality product.
Perform housekeeping
Collecting data of the process variables hourly for the plant optimization.
Completing work order sheet weekly to oversee which area or equipment needs to be replaced or repaired. Once I have done with that I take the work order to the workshop to alert the maintenance personnel.
Assisting Process Engineer in the implementation of Process Safety.
Through my work experienced thus far, I have learnt to work under pressure, able to adapt quickly to working shifts, gained awareness around diversity, I have grown in understanding about the importance of clear communication and team-work. As a result I have evolved as a leader.
