Lead Project Engineer- BGC (Shell) Contract- Khor Al Zubair (KAZ & NCS) Projects- Iraq

Fly in- Fly-out position (4 week on- 4 weeks off) to (KAZ processing facilities) in Basrah-Iraq.

Administer the project engineering design during the project life cycle (FEED & detailed design), for multiple KAZ projects, to execute and manage the re-habilitation/ rejuvenation of LPG units, Electrical substations, Truckload stations, and fire water systems upgrade in accordance to BGC (Shell DEM-2) codes and standards.

Identify resources and requirements, assigned responsibilities, and coordinated with project team to execute and manage the design of new compressor stations in accordance to BGC procedures and standards.

Deliver engineering and design services including specifications, design computations, drawings, and BOM’s.

Develop and review project specifications, project execution plans, and engineering deliverables (P&IDs, Piping ISOs, GA’s and specialty items)

Review and approve procurements documentation (MRs, CBE, TBE, WBS, and long lead Items) and procurement status report (PSR).

Monitor and maintain project schedule, as agreed with client (Baseline schedule approval), to ensure on time completion.

Establish work Orders WBS Structure alignment of proposals & CTR development using Imperium Oracle database system.

Prepare and execute work orders kick off meetings (internal and client), accurate reporting, budgets control, change control, and risk management.

Prepare and manage HAZOP/HAZID/SIL workshops. Review and approve HAZOP/HAZID/SIL actions and manage action’s close out process using Action Tracking Management System (ATMS).

Ensure the correct procedures are followed during the estimating, initiation, progression and close out of all work orders.

Identify, and manage potential changes (Design, cost, schedule) that impacting project execution and implementing the MOC process using Imperium Oracle database system.

Identify, assess and register all associated risk and are to be with appropriate mitigation measures identified.

Support Wood field team (site surveys scope, site visit) and responding to site queries (STQs) from BGC construction team.

Pre-Commissioning Coordinator – Hangingstone Project

Orchestrated a team in performing cold eye reviews for systems and report deficiencies to construction manager.

The 12,000 bpcd (phase-1) Hangingstone SAGD Project, located in northwest Alberta, consisted of the development of the Central Processing Plant, Field Facilities, Infrastructure and Midstream Pipeline/Facilities.

Ensured work was carried out in compliance to all Athabasca Oil Corporation engineering design codes and standards, QA/QC procedures, and policies.

Completed the cold eye review (P&IDs, Piping ISOs, RTDs, JBs, and EHT ISOs) walk down at steam generation unit, bitumen treating unit, water treatment unit, hydrocarbon tank farm unit, and utilities on central processing facilities (Mechanical, structural, electrical and Instrumentation review).

Refined and documented all deficiencies, against RFI’s, on master online list to maintain consistency.

Overhauled venders’ documentation and turnover packages (mechanical/structural) per checklist requirements.

WOOD GROUP MUSTANG, AB, Canada Jun, 2012 – Jul, 2014

Senior Project Engineer – Cenovus Energy Program

Administered the project engineering design during the project life cycle (FEED & detailed design), for multiple Christina Lake off-site projects, to execute and design four well pads in one year in accordance to B31.3 process piping, B31.4 pipeline transportation, and ASME B16 piping component standards.

Identified resources and requirements, assigned responsibilities, and coordinated with project team to execute and design 4.5 KM pipelines, roads, and utility corridors connecting six heavy oil production pads to the facility, Foster Creek off sites 2013 pipeline development as per CSA standards and CSA Z662-94 for pipeline systems.

Delivered engineering and design services including specifications, design computations, drawings, and BOM’s.

Developed and reviewed P&IDs, line designation tables, Piping ISOs, and specialty items.

Reviewed and approved procurements documentation (MRQ, MRP, Venders bid evaluation, WBS, and long leads)

Monitored and maintained project schedule, as agreed with client, to ensure on time completion.
