The Role: Supervision of all the Electrical and Mechanical Equipment installed at different sites including the 24 hours operational areas like BBI Airport ISB, Flight Kitchen BBIAP ISB, Engineering Area, TGS, Cargo and Medical Centres.
The installed Equipment includes Diesel Generators - Cummins - ranges 350KVA-25KVA, Lifts -Gold Star- load Capacity up to 1200 KG, Power Factor Panels, Synchronising Change Over, HT/LT Distribution Boards, Dakin and York Chillers -180 Ton, Steam Boilers, Winkler Ovens, Walk in Freezers and other Machines. The HVACR systems include Central HVACR, Packaged Units, Split and Window Units.
The current portfolio entertains the dedicated coordination with Islamabad Electric Supply Company for installation of new Power Meters, Billing issues and HT load distribution. An important routine task also includes coordination through ERP with user departments, Cost Estimation – ETC and EAC leading to Tendering process following concerned PPRA rules.
Being the part of the Facilities Management Division, maintaining active coordination concerning maintenance of different equipment used by different departments of PIA is an important daily task. It also includes being in the triangle of other ends being the User departments and the Contractors/Consultants for rectification of complaints regarding MEP. The job role revolves around designing maintenance protocols to ensure standardized procedures throughout facility to improve efficiency, Execution of the Projects involving Installation, Commissioning & Testing of Electrical and Mechanical Equipment. It requires the Procurement of Material and maintaining minimum spares for attending breakdown and reducing breakdown time, Condition Monitoring and Predictive maintenance of critical equipment and corrective actions to avoid breakdown while maintaining ISO Standards. Coordination with various departments for smooth functioning of the equipment by feedback and suggestions from them is done regularly. My responsibilities also include minor level plumbing works of all PIA infrastructures and managing janitorial operations in allied buildings. I have also served last two years with additional charge of Motor & Transport North managing routes designing, scheduling and periodic maintenance of 83 Toyota micro vans and 18 executive cars at RWP-ISB. The Role: As In-Charge of Power House 2MW, my assignments included installation and maintenance of Induction Motors – up to 300 HP, Air circuit Breakers, cables, designing of circuits and synchronizing of load from steam turbine operated GENSET 1 - 1.5MW to GENSET 2 – 1.5 MW.
Technology provided by MAGUIN INTERIS Producing 100000 lit/day of Superfine having strength 96.6% of ethanol concentration and operated with power load of 2MW steam turbine and stand by source is Cummins 800kw diesel generator. Maintained up-to-date knowledge of plant and maintenance procedures. Supervised two complete Maintenance Shut Downs. Prepared supporting documentation for capital budget. Analysed current processes to design improvement plans. Responsibilities included Maintenance of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems.
Achievements: Completed Shut down of Plant while minimizing the overall break down time to 3 Months 5 days from 4 Months with same resources in assigned budget.
Received Letter of Appreciation from GM Operations for Successful Planning and Management.
