Projects

•System Integration Project: - A plc program was developed for HMI (human machine interface) using RSNetworx, RSLogix, RSlinx and SCADA for the process carried out in a peanut factory which showed all the activities from production to packaging.

•Automated Spray booth and part loader (Capstone Project for Mersen): - An automatic part injector machine was designed and made using electro-pneumatic systems, fabricated aluminum parts (with CNC’s) and Siemens plc and HMI.

•Savaria elevators automated welding robot (first research project) :- Designing and fabrication of the frame with movable track on which the welding ABB was to be mounted. Motors were used to make the track movable and hence increase capability and degrees of rotation of the robot. Further, the control panel was fabricated in which the drivers, HMI’s and plc’s (Allen Bradley) v were to be installed.

•Hatch project (second research project) :- Alongside with the last mentioned project, work was ongoing on frame and layout of the boiler project (by hatch) for the Sheridan college’s chemical lab. Job duties included improvement of 3D drawing in SOLIDWORKS because on continuous real work changing of projects, fabrication of mechanical aluminum parts.

•HVAC Project: - Analysis of a building was done including all the calculations for heating and cooling loads which gave the information about heating, ventilation and air conditioning system requirements.

•CAD/CAM: - Working model of overhead crane was made to get in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD as well as computer aided manufacturing. Laser cutting machine, 3D printers and other hand tools were used to fabricate and assemble different parts.
