Aerospace Engineer/Project Manager/Assistant Manager
• Project manager for satellite parts production. This position includes: managing company production team (laser operator, logistic department and quality assurance). Communication and visiting vendors for quality assurance, production schedule, on-site inspection of processed materials. Communication with customers. Solved difficulties with reaching quality standards (issues with quality laser cutting parts, anodized parts, reaching promised due date, logistic questions). Planning production to meet delivery schedule. Project scope: More than a million dollars’ contract for One Web satellites constellation for mass production of aluminum face sheets and their preparation for bounding process with honeycomb core. What includes raw material stage, laser cutting and anodizing process.
• Quality control of Raw and non-Raw material. Inspection of Raw materials (aluminum, steel, titanium, etc.) by checking dimensions, certification. Inspection materials after processing (saw cut, waterjet, laser cut, heat treatment, chemical treatment, nondestructive testing, machining) by checking hardness properties, surface properties, vendor certification, dimensions.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting machine shop. More than 100 hours of maintenance of mechanical and electrical parts of Laser cutting CNC machine and Blanchard Grinder. Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and program failure of laser cutting CNC machine.
• Programming and operating 2D laser cutting CNC machine. Programming G-code from DXF files for production, designing and constructing jigs for different nesting, operating the machine as second operator for production and main operator for development and FAI. Beginner level in CNC vertical milling machine (3 axis, Mitsubishi controller) programming and operation.
• Technical documentation review. Reviewing technical requirement in customer contracts, drawings for estimating and production. Reviewing and discussing processing capabilities with vendors.
• Guiding daily production and supervising employees for all departments (planning, shipping/receiving, QA, machine shop); supervising company materials inventory. Managing daily communication with customers and vendors for status update and QA questions purposes on all stages of an order. Planning one-time orders for raw materials and processing.
