Gardia World

Security Guard

Attn: Recruitment Manager

I am writing this letter to express a strong interest in joining Gardia World. I successfully apply proactive, critical thought in order to solve problems. I also have extensive experience communicating, cooperating and building relationships with a variety of individuals of diverse backgrounds. This is demonstrated by my work experience in security, customer service positions, projects I have led during my police-focused studies, and my experience playing and coaching competitive sports. It is my knowledge, passion, dedication and experience in Public Safety that uniquely places me in a position to excel as member of your service.

I regularly demonstrate self-control, self-confidence and assertiveness in professional, as well as social settings. I have developed these skills through experience in high-tension, high-pressure environments. In my current positions as Security Officer and Customer Service Representative, I respectfully assist customers of diverse backgrounds by interacting in a personably manner. I am responsible for the prevention of criminal activities and maintenance of order through ongoing patrol – on foot and through monitoring of surveillance equipment. I provide emergency response when necessary. I maintain accurate and legible documentation of incidents through report writing in order to safekeep the integrity of the department and ensure proper follow-up takes place. I also promote safety to mall visitors in an effort to proactively mitigate potential threat to public safety. Moreover, I have been a Big Brother and a certified hockey trainer since the winter 2017 season, where I contribute to developing others and maintaining their safety. I have also developed extensive mental and physical skills by maintaining a rigorous fitness and nutrition regime in order to withstand the demands of policing, but also as a self-driven passion.

I always meet deadlines by prioritizing tasks, cooperating with others and obeying instruction and policies. At Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, I ensured that all issued articles of police equipment were maintained in good order and reported any deficiencies immediately to my supervisor. I also recorded information, delivered messages, and performed other routine duties for police officers and other members of the Service. I assisted Constables by volunteering additional time to ensure the completion of pressing duties, for example, by carefully and efficiently transporting police cruisers to local auto body shops regularly. I also contributed to a Syrian Refugee Program that focused on assisting new refugees with their transition into Canadian culture.

With a commitment to learn, I have graduated with a Police Foundations Diploma and am in the process of completing a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice. I possess a valid Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police Certificate of Results. I also completed Security Guard, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid training, as well as possess a G Driver’s License.

Whether as an employee, group member or teammate, I have developed the reputation as a valuable, driven and co-operative contributor in any team environment. With that said, I am very eager to be a part of your team and assist in improving and maintaining the safety, security and quality of life for residents in the area. I truly look forward to the prospect of joining and contributing to the continued success of your company.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Sincerely,

Christopher Lindsay
