SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

An experienced Process Engineer with expertise in delivering multi-million dollar Oil & Gas projects. Over fifteen years of experience in Conceptual, Front End and Detailed Engineering. Several successfully completed greenfield and brownfield projects for offshore and onshore Oil & Gas facilities (including LNG) as well as pharmaceutical facilities.

-Successfully completed an optimized ITT design of a gas plant that utilized two distillation columns instead of three for the production of value streams of condensate (1,000 BPD), LPG (1,500 BPD) and sales gas (15 MMSCFD) worth an estimated total of over 100,000 USD/day in sales revenues. The resulting design saved over 0.5 million USD in estimated CAPEX with a corresponding savings in OPEX and had a feed input of condensate stabilizer off-gas and separator liquids.

-Completed the update of a number of project philosophies and the review of IFC P&IDs of a gas project, making valuable input that required good engineering judgment in order to meet quality requirements.

-Completed the update of the Installation, Operating and Maintenance manual of H2S removal/regeneration system from sour gas utilizing DEA.

-Completed the initial study for developing an energy recovery system from waste that will reduce the initial CAPEX by at least 75% of currently available Circulating Fluid Bed Combustion technologies.

-Completed a flare gas (20,000 Sm3/day) recovery project generating an estimated revenue of over 2 million USD/day and a second one (21,000 - 43,000 Sm3/day) generating an estimated 2 to 4 million USD/day in revenue.

-Reviewed all discipline work done by the team engineers and third party, providing detailed engineering input during all design phases, providing specialist engineering input and encouraging the development of Omani staff to fulfill process engineering roles.

-Accomplishments: • Completed in 3 months the as-building, verification/validation of over 2,000 pieces of plant equipment and instrumentation and developed/updated over 20,000 cells of technical database information.

• Engineered and executed the design of a back-wash system for the solvent-recovery distillation column thus eliminating chronic downtime of 8 - 10 hours per week with potential cost savings of about 7,000 Euros/week and proposed new operating, control and safeguarding philosophies to avoid recurrence.

• Led the design, pilot testing and execution of a very efficient design that eliminated the premature failure of dryer tubes in incinerator waste-gas analyzer, resulting in a direct weekly cost savings of over 1,600 Euros/week.
