Athleticism: Energetic individual who enjoys staying active and healthy with simple exercises as well as high intensity training and competitive sports. Competitive Rep hockey and lacrosse player from age 8-20 which also became the foundation for the importance of teamwork and positivity.

Communication: Excellent communication skills demonstrated through group exercise classes. Resident/clients must understand exercises by educating in a clear and understanding manner. Residents must feel motivated with encouraging words and positive verbal feedback.
Reliable & Punctual: always showing up for work 15-20 minutes before, giving enough time for preparation. Being late doesn’t only reflect on yourself but also the people in the healthcare team and facility.
Organized: Very clean and organized individual who must have a clean space before starting tasks. By organizing things properly, I am able to recall any written client information I may need in the future.

Rivera Greenway Retirement Residence & Home Living 2018-present
Physiotherapy Assistant & Instructor for senior group classes
Duties:
-Setting up & teaching safe and effective exercises for seniors within the facility for both U/E and L/E.
-Not only perform exercises but educate seniors why and what muscles are being used during movements and where they are on the body.
-Teach exercises 1 on 1 to residents who require it instructed by PT to build strength and endurance as well as make sure residents continue to perform each exercise correctly.
-Chart exercises completed within the 20/30 min session.
-Encourage and bring residents to group classes for the days on assisted living floors
-Keep updated with supplies need such as TheraBand, sanitizer, gloves, Gowns, Masks and order more if needed.
-Update PT each week with weekly residents’ charts, updates or changes
