5.1OVK : Administrative Clerk (January 2019 – current)

Duties:

Finalize daily banking against the AS400 system.

Do daily stock take and balance the figures against the system.

Receive stock from the Mills and enter it onto our system.

Monitor stock damages, and if any, ensure it is sent back to the Mills and thereafter balance the system accordingly.

Process any credit notes for damaged or slow-moving stock from clients.

Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.

Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (envelopes, packages, etc.)

Answer the phone to take messages or redirect calls to appropriate colleagues.

Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.

Undertake basic bookkeeping tasks and issue invoices, checks etc.

Take minutes of meetings and dictations.

Assist in office management and organization procedures.

Capture the client’s information onto the Longrich system, thereby registering them onto the data base.

Place orders for products on the client’s behalf.

Liaise with Longrich head office in Johannesburg on behalf of both the stockist and clients via email or telephone.

Assist the stockist with receiving merchandise and distribution of it according to client’s orders.
