I have restored and rebuilt pumps, which often required replacing mechanical seals, new components and hardware, installing pump into place, check soft foot, and perform alignment checks. I performed Atomizer preventive maintenance which includes changing dispersion wheels, balancing wheels, purging grease lines, and testing the lube system. Other maintenance duties include Fan rebuilds, turbine PM’s, and motor PMs.

Jacobs, Syncrude, Fort McMurray, 2015-2017

I repaired and troubleshoot Alpha Lava centrifuges, repaired BIRD centrifuges and performed complete overhauls on machinery to restore them to full function. I also performed overhauls on pumps and CUNO filtration systems. Whenever there was “downtime” I restored Alpha Lava bowls.

Wajax, Fort McMurray, 2014-2015

I have worked at multiple sites as a Wajax contractor. CNRL on apron feeders, replacing rollers, skid plates, and pans. I have done several oil flushes on gearboxes on Syncrude site. I have assisted welders in installing new handrails at Shell Albian Sands.

Suncor, McKay River, 2013-2014 (Co-op)

Jobs included removing and replacing damaged pumps for new/ restored pumps. I performed laser alignments to ensure smooth operations of equipment. I removed and installed blinds regularly as a part of isolation procedures. Other duties entailed pipe-work cutting, threading and installing pipe to connect to wells and various other types of machinery.

Syncrude, Utilities, 2012-2013. (Co-op)

The majority of projects were completed in the Powerhouse to ensure continuous delivery of energy to the entire plant. where I performed overhauls on steam turbines and multistage pumps. Removed and replaced large pumps and gearboxes and performed laser alignments. Removed and replaced large vertical pumps.

Shell Albian Sands, Extraction, 2011-2012. (Co-op)

Regular duties included performing full overhauls on large and small pumps which required me to work with mobile crane operators on a regular basis. Doing laser alignments to ensure equipment operates smoothly. I changed out screens and screen panels as a part of restoring filtration in the extraction process. I also performed full restoration on large agitators which are essential as a part of the extraction process.
