CURRENTLY EMPLOYED AT OXFORD TUTORING CENTER

2016- PRESENT

I am a tutor of multiple grade levels, from kindergarten all the way until grade 12, with SAT tutoring and firefighter tutor on a periodic basis. My job entails teaching all subjects, helping the students organize and plan their study schedule, aiding in their learning and helping them cope and surpass any learning disabilities. I have also demonstrated my organization skills when having to maintain notes about the students and their progress as well as maintaining control and managing 1-3 students at a time.

SECRETARY OF WEST CARLETON AGILITY GROUP

2019 (JANUARY) - PRESENT

I volunteer to be the secretary of the West Carleton Agility Group (WAG). This position requires maintenance of the WAG email, including: monitoring incoming emails, sending outgoing emails, and mitigating email conversation between the executive and WAG clients. In addition, I manage WAG’s paper work which encompasses: membership applications, waiver’s signed on a yearly basis, and registration forms from all Students.

ACHIEVEMENT OF A BLACK BELT IN TAE-KWON-DO: WINNING CIRCLE MARTIAL ARTS

2005-2012

To gain this achievement I had to know and memorize multiple patterns and kicks from previous belts. I also had to maintain my physical health (running, endurance). In addition to the above statements, I had to show respect to my master, as well as discipline and self-control. I also demonstrated my dedication to my club by helping, judging and supporting my Dojo in competitions.

TEACHER OF TAE-KWON-DO WINNING CIRCLE MARTIAL ARTS

2008-2012

I was a teacher to lower belts (white to red) aged between 3 -18 years old. It was my job to help my master teach them their patterns and kicks, as well as creating a leadership figure and instilling discipline and respect to authority. I dealt with a variety of situations that required me to be versatile such as, teaching children with ADD and ADHD, as well as teaching very young children.

FLIGHT SERGEANT CANADIAN AIR CADETS

2011-2013

Third top rank in Air cadets. I organized activities and participated in fundraising activities. I attended summer camps to be a rifle coach, to learn advanced aviation, and to get my personal pilots license. I also taught younger levels of cadets that I prepared in accordance to a lesson guide.

TEACHING AT AIR CADETS CANADIAN AIR CADETS

2011-2013

I planned and taught classes approximately once a week to younger levels. Topics of the class varied from leadership, to aviation related topics. I was also relied on to teach classes assigned to my fellow teachers when they were absent. For the first year of my teaching I coordinated with my fellow teacher to teach one entire level rank in cadets throughout the whole year. I was responsible for this set of 20-30 cadets.

PILOT’S LISCENSE (PPL) CANADIAN AIR CADETS

2013-Present

Over the summer of 2013 I achieved my pilot’s license. I had to study continuously and persevere. I had multiple tests throughout the summer which I completed with high grades as well as in air training and tests which were also successfully passed. I continue to fly on a regular basis at the Smith Falls flying club.

PUBLIC SPEAKING CANADIAN AIR CADETS

2010-2013

I had to write many essays as well as going to competitions on a local level. Many times it was necessary to read my essay to a large crowd in situations (150-200 people). Through this experience I developed confidence, and communication. I also learned how to be versatile when talking to individuals as well as crowds through reading their gestures and adjusting my communication tactics accordingly.

TEACHING OF RANGE (RIFLE COACH) CANADIAN AIR CADETS

2011-2013

I developed a leadership role by training and perfecting the abilities of others to shoot on the range. I developed a team and lead them into a competition where we succeed against many other competitive teams (7th place out of 20). Two years earlier I also achieved a third place medal for best junior shooter. I pursued through range and eventually became the best at my squadron.

VOLUNTEERING IN THE EMERGENY DEPARTMENT QUEENSWAY CARLETON HOSPITAL

2013-2015

I handle, highlight and organize files for the nurses such as patient charts, emergency papers, and doctor’s notes. I deliver important papers (including patient charts) to their designated places within the hospital. I aid patients throughout the hospital as well as give directions to family members who come in looking for their relatives. It is my job to make sure that the emergency area is organized and allows for easy passage. This experience has enhanced all of the traits and skills I have listed above, as well as showed me the environmental atmosphere that is present in a medical facility.

JUDGED TAE-KWON-DO COMPETITIONS WINNING CIRCLE MARTIAL ARTS

2010-2012

I watched, judged and commented on other Tae-Kwon-Do participates on their presentation of their patterns and sparring at competitions hosted by my Dojo. This allowed the enhancement of my awareness, communication skills, as well as leadership skills. It also demonstrated my dedication to my Dojo, as mentioned above.

MULTIPLE FIRST AID COURSE CANADIAN AIR CADETS

2011-2013

I learned the proper medical procedure in an emergency situation as well as CPR. This enhanced my versatility in panic situations, and even calm situations.

TUTORING IN GRADE 12 MATH WEST CARLETON SECONDARY SCHOOL

2013-2014

Throughout grade 12 I tutored younger graders in their designated math course. I would prepare a schedule before meeting with them, as well as answer any extra questions that they asked me. This aided in the development of my leadership, communications, and versatility once again.
