MIAMI JEWISH HEALTH SYSTEM

Manager, Partnership Development, Senior Living Department 2018 – 2019

Develop resource referrals and new partnership opportunities to promote independent, assisted living and memory care at Miami Jewish Health System, a 26-acre residential and medical campus. Recruit prospects to tour campus and sell living options. Handle community relations for the system. Serve on community boards and work with area networking groups including; Miami Coalition on Aging, So Florida Hispanic Coalition on Aging, Alliance on Aging, Mayor’s Elder Affairs Commission, Latino Center on Aging, Consortium for Healthy Miami Dade and numerous chambers of commerce, to help promote the entire campus. Develop opportunities with media outlets to feed stories about the campus. Visit area hospitals, rehabs and meet with care managers, elder attorneys and financial advisors to inform them about Miami Jewish Health and secure referrals.

TRI COUNTY SENIOR RESOURCE REFERRAL NETWORK. LLC 2016 to present

Founder and President

A tri county professional networking organization designed to bring together leaders from different arenas who work with the elderly. The Network allows for exchange of client referrals, opportunities to work together on community projects, educational forums and exchange of information on available community resources.

VI AT AVENTURA: Aventura, FL 2010–2016

Director of Marketing and Community Relations

Led community marketing and customer relations for luxury senior living establishment. Developed referral networks to recruit potential residents by cultivating relationships with doctors, financial advisors, planners, and other community referral sources. Managed relationships with media professionals. Wrote and placed press releases. Executed marketing strategies and assisted sales with events. Designed spiritual well being programming for residents. Supervised resident visitation committee designed to reach out to residents in the care center or recuperating in the hospital.

Increased referrals 4x to 30+ annually, driving growth in occupancy. Expanded reach into Broward County.

Generated ongoing publicity via frequent placement of media content. Partnered with Aventura Marketing Council to cultivate relationship with Aventura News, obtaining to regular coverage.

FLORIDA BREAST CANCER COALITION RESEARCH FOUNDATION

Executive Director, South Florida Region

Managed successive nonprofit organizations providing support to breast cancer survivors. Directed annual budget of $900K. Led team of 5 in fundraising, grant writing, referral development, and established community referral sources. Partnered with board in strategic planning and operations leadership.

Recruited 18-member board during transition to Breast Cancer Network of Strength through community relations and networking. Achieved high degree of diversity in board membership.

Spearheaded annual grant process for $500K in funding from Florida End Breast Cancer license plate

Trained Board of Directors on governance, finances, and public relations. Created and delivered structured fundraising training program for directors.

Drove initiatives generating $100K+ in incremental donations. Created major gifts program generating $75K in first year.

AVENTURA TURNBERRY JEWISH CENTER & TAUBER ACADEMY: Aventura, FL 2004–2005

Director of Development, Member Services, and Public Relations (one year funded position)

Directed fundraising, public relations, strategic planning, and member recruitment for synagogue and day school under one-year funding. Represented Center at local community events and served as public relations liaison.

Planned and executed $3.5M capital campaign for school, generating $1.2M in pledges in 6 months .

Created special outreach programming for growing Hispanic Jewish population

Reversed 50% membership decline via execution of recruitment strategy. Developed marketing and communications plan attracting essential new members, including key Hispanic demographic.

Established Federation presence in Weston, managing annual campaign and special events, and building relationships with area Jewish community organizations and rabbis.

Created program preparing 500+ Elderly Jewish Russian immigrants for citizenship testing at area synagogues. Assisted Hispanic Unity of Florida in developing similar program for their constituency.
