Created Linux VM images for Proof of Concept lab Vendor applications. Monitoring Process, CPU, and Memory usage and other issues. Creating user accounts and profiles, creating Network File Systems and mounting on client host images. Setting up and managing LVM for customer application or data sizing. Created crontabs (BASH Scripts) for deletion of older temporary files.

As we only had 3 class C subnets in the Proof of Concert lab we had to closely monitor the usage of addresses. Created a PHP script that ran nightly using nmap port scan to discover if assigned addresses were still in use. If host IP did not respond for 3 straight nights my Cron Job script updated the database and sent an email to the owner asking if their testing was finished so that we may repurpose the IP address(s) .

Managing / Troubleshooting over 400 VMware Virtual guests.

Worked with global real estate and IT groups in design and implementation of the new USA Lab facility. I supported all aspects of the Lab infrastructure, as well as configuration of Cisco Layer 3 switches.

Shared responsibility to keep Active Directory Wintel servers updated with patches. Developed application to schedule and run unattended patches for USA and India servers greatly reducing man hours previously used.

Created database driven LAMP (RHEL) system to accommodate Lab processes, including asset management, Service and Change requests, and DHCP client workstation reservations.

Established Lab network infrastructure for USA and India groups.

Designed and implemented Lab VPN for both sites while in India.

Responsible for the client hardware order process which is a vital part of the account service level agreement. We had to have at least 2 of any workstation in the Lab that GM had purchased.

Created Windows Service for server status. Reports and alerts include Server Patch status, Drive Space, AV patch status. All listings available from a web interface.

Awarded HP’s ‘e-Award’ on three different occasions for contributions / process improvements.
