PROJECTS
North Carolina Rainfall 50-year Projection
To provide a forecast of rainfall amounts for the next 50 years. This forecast could potentially be used to influence decisions in agriculture, government water regulations, and government resource management. This project used several tools including: python, Time-series analysis, Seasonal Decomposition, Correlation, and Auto-correlation. A report and corresponding code of findings with a raster map of North Carolina projected annual rainfall for the next 5 years (2020 - 2024) the intensity of projected rainfall varies by color. I provided 95% confidence intervals for the subsequent 45 years (2025-2069).
How Healthy is Your City? The Healthiest and Unhealthiest Cities in America
This project investigated the data provided by the 500 cities dataset, to compare the health levels of 500 select cities in the United States. The data was gathered from City Health Dashboard and was used to rank cities in terms of positive and negative health metrics in each city. This resulted in finding the healthiest and unhealthiest cities in America, and can be used by municipalities or health officials to determine what other cities that are similar to them are doing in terms of certain metrics, and how they might be able to put certain programs in place to increase their rank.
