Managed a large number of projects using the latest in client/server technology, including Microsoft, Oracle and INFORMIX environments and UNIX, PC and NT platforms. Supervised from 2 to 40 team members on both custom development and package implementation projects. The clients included Beacon Eye Institute, PageNet and PCS PrimeCo. At PCS PrimeCo., selected and installed two major software packages (Scopus and TSW-EMPAC).
Wal-Mart: Managed several projects for Wal-Mart, Inc. in Bentonville, Arkansas. Developed techniques and methods for system internationalization. Investigated software and hardware for improving distribution systems. Analyzed various image processing system software packages. Implemented a 200+ user system for insurance claim processing using INFORMIX based client server technology.
MasterCard: Coordinated 15 different departments in the implementation of a distributed credit card authorization system. This project included the transition from IBM Series/1 technology to UNIX/Open System technology.
Royal Saudi Air Force: Responsible for the design and installation of a new Personnel Reporting System. Managed a team of five Saudi programmers in the design and installation of a reporting system for the Personnel Directorate. The system provides for the on-line request and production of 27 personnel reports. The system environment is IBM 9000, MVS ESA, using IMS DB/DC.
State of Missouri responsible for the design and installation of a new system for administering and distributing special education funds for the State of Missouri. The system provides statewide tracking of more than 100 participating school districts and approximately 3,000 teachers. The technical environment is an IBM 4381 running SQL/DS, CSP and QMF.
