1. EXPERIENCE during M.Arch – LIVE PROJECTS Sept 2017- Jan 2020 Worked on live projects in order to understand various aspects of sustainability during the progress of the curriculum. The projects involved in included the following:

A year long study on The effect of indoor environment quality on occupant well-being - a study on naturally ventilated small scale industries in Ollur industrial estate at Thrissur, Kerala. This study established the IEQ levels in the studied buildings and helped propose sustainable solutions to enhance the indoor quality, which resulted in better health and well- being of the occupants. Incorporated the use of Berkeley’s Thermal comfort model, IEQAT tool, BUS Methodology for Occupant Survey for analysis. Use of software’s like Energy plus, Grasshopper, Honeybee, Ecotect in order to quantify the thermal comfort, energy usages and lighting levels in the industries. A recommendation of policy level measures was involved in this study.

A year long study of Munroe island, the sinking delta island of Kerala, through the three phases of sustainability – Social, Economic and Environmental aspects. Revival of the Pattamthuruthu settlement at Munroe Island, by use of sustainable measures after a detailed study on all 3 aspects of sustainability was completed.

Six month study - Retrofitting a local school building by analysing the issues faced by it in terms of thermal comfort and energy efficiency and achieving a green building solution through the use of climate responsive sustainable design approach. Use of softwares like grasshopper, honeybee for daylighting simulation, manual calculations to understand the thermal comfort.

Attended 2 week workshop on building with bamboo and stone at Sacred Hearts, Auroville.

Attended 1 week long workshop on softwares Energyplus, Grasshopper, Honeybee, Rhino.

Attended 4 day workshop on ECBC and Equest.

2. Al Manarah Engineering Consultancy, Muscat, Oman Nov 2014 – May 2016 Designation: Associate Architect

Responsibilities

- Designing projects which complies with government regulations.

- Preparing and assisting in developing architecture documents, design specifications, sanction drawings, detailed technical drawings.

- Managing an integrated approach to design, by building a good link with the other departments (Structural, electrical, HVAC, administration).

- Handled client meetings.

Design development for a Three Star Hotel (built uparea - 750 sq.m., G+2+P) located at Sohar, Oman.

Developed and refined the Graphic Design for tenders of Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) Staff Accommodations located at (built up area - 1354 sq.m., G+1) Duqm and Sohar (built up area – 1000 sq.m.), Oman.

Responsible for the Design and Architectural Detailing of multiple Residential Apartment complexes in and around Muscat.

3. Simon Engineering and Partners, Muscat, Oman August 2013 – August 2014 Designation: Associate Architect

Responsibilities

- Conducted design presentations for various projects for clients better understanding.

- Coordinated design personnel for the implementation of design documents for capital projects as it required knowledge of architecture design and technology and ensuring compliance of plans according to various regulatory codes.
