Alberta Children’s Hospital ER Volunteer — Alberta Children’s Hospital 2011-2012
Main responsibilities included greeting each family and visitor at the emergency room, making sure he or she felt comfortable and secure, and giving direction to any rooms or areas of the hospital that they may need to find.
Athlete Mentor — Mount Royal University, 2010-2013 Paired with a child from the Catholic Family Charities Athlete Mentoring program, each week athletes from each program spent two hours with a child from a low income family. Crafts, games, and conversation were a large part of the three years I spent with the same little girl where I was able to see tremendous growth in her self confidence and ability to participate in group settings.
