PROJECTS AND RESEARCH

Energy Generation through vibration energy through railway tracks August2016- June 2017

This project is based on investigation of train weight pressure, electric generator which can generate electrical energy from an external energy like heat energy, mechanical energy, wind energy, hydro energy

According to the piezoelectric direct effect, piezoelectric material can generate electrical energy from an external energy like mechanical vibration.

The piezoelectric effect converts mechanical strain into electric current or voltage. It is based on the fundamental structure of a crystal lattice.

Design of Automatic Parking System for Two-Wheeler June 2016- February 2017

Proposal of “Smart parking system” that exploits technology for parking space have availability detection and which allocate optimal parking spots to drivers instead of only supplying and give guidance to them.

Developed the system defined infrastructure and basic smart parking procedure which studied the main requirement to implement such a system and provide the essential solution. By using this Parking system the retrieving time can be reduced to approximately 3 minutes. CFD Analysis of Heat transfer in Compound Parabolic Concentrator June 2015 – April 2016

Prepared geometric model of the CPC using CREO.

Analyzed CFD of the CPC using ANSYS and collected results of validation from the available literature.

Investigated influence of change to concentration ratio and surface radiation to CPC properties Heat flow analysis of Friction Stir Welding June 2013 – May 2014

Developed a model for Friction Stir Welding.

Implemented the ANSYS and APDL Code on Numerical model of FSW plates.

Gain Temperature gradient contour on a horizontal plane has revealed the temperature profile before and after welding operation.

Compared experimental and analytical result data shows that 15-20% variation in temperature occurs in ANSYS data and Experimental data.
