● Observationswitchboardinstrumentstodetectindicationsoflinedisturbances,suchasgrounded, shorted,oropencircuits.

● Pullingcircuitbreakerswitchorpushingbuttonstointerruptflowofcurrentindisturbedline preparatorytorepair,andtoconnectalternatecircuittocarryloadofde-energizedlines.

● Recordingtemperatureoftransformersatspecifiedintervals.

● May inspectequipment,such astransformers,pumps,fans,batteries,and circuitbreakersto detectdefects.

● Maycalculateaverageandpeakloadconditionsfromelectricrecordinginstrumentdataand compileperiodicreportofloadvariationsforsystemplanningpurposes.

● Monitoringthefunctioningofstationequipmentinsubstations,principallyasrevealedbyvarious metersandgauges,switchboard instrumentsforunusualoperatingconditionsandperformsthe functionnecessarytorestoretheequipmenttonormalorremoveitfromserviceasrequired.

● Switchesandmaintainssubstationequipmentforproperoperation.

● Preparationoftheequipmentforoperationandstarts,stopsandcontrolstheunits,adjusting theloadandvoltageandaccessoryregulatingequipmentasrequired.

● Performingofswitchingoperationsinaccordancewithstandardoperatingprocedures.

● Maintainingdailyoperatinglogonalloperations,bothroutineandemergency,andreportson line outagesandweatherconditions.Recordshourlyreadingsofindicatingandintegrating meters,andchanges,marksandcheckschartsofrecordinginstruments.

● Actsindependentlyduringanemergencybyperformingdutiesinrapidsuccessioninvolving switching,adjustingloadand/orvoltage,orextinguishingfires.

● Recording changes in load and making routine adjustments to meet such changes without immediatesupervision.Reportingunusualsituationstosupervision.
