Senior Staff Technical Writer Xilinx 03/2007 – 9/2018

A supplier of programmable logic devices and creator of the first fabless manufacturing model.

Responsible for analyzing and developing technical documentation and processes for a set of highly evolving software tool sets. Managed up to five support personnel. Produced documentation for quarterly product releases with responsibility for an ever-changing suite of documents (approximately 8-10 documents of 150-200 pages each).

Founded in 1982, Maxtor was the third largest hard disk drive manufacturer in the world before being purchased by Seagate in 2006.

Originally responsible for documentation for the Factory Information Systems (FIS) group, promoted in 1999 to Manager and then to Senior Manager six months later, Led a team of up to 20 technical and support personnel.
