Working with various groups regarding business development initiatives including development of concepts for multi-season recreational venue, fund raising initiatives and reconditioning plans for commercial and retail properties. Develop successful marketing strategies and process planning for maximum effect

September 2010 to Current: President Swervin Mini Indy Inc.

Swervin Indoor Racing Inc. produces successful seasonal entertainment / fundraising go – cart race events and promotions including the Laps for Life for Leukemia, which has raised over $70,000 to date, and Race for Recovery for Canadian Mental Health. My role includes:

Development of concept to completion corporate and charity non-profits events.

Develop and implement various marketing and promotions that build excitement in the events and build momentum and participation

Developed and implement supply chain management for clients

Create, operate and manage various events promoting cart racing.

MAY 2010 to MAY 2016: GENERAL MANAGER, Business & Convention Centre

Led the complete conversion of a 148,000 square feet residential school facility to a Business and Convention Centre.

Developed operational processes and procedures to maximize income.

Established multiple successful relationships with suppliers, business leaders, contractors and tenants to minimize costs and grow market share

Hired all operations staff and ensured adherence to occupational health and safety, public health standards and operational permits

Negotiating tenant leases and managed lease hold improvements and all matters relating to building operations and maintenance and projects. Developed and controlled supply chain management for the site.

2006 to 2010: Maintenance Superintendent, Cameco Corporation, Key Lake Operations

During the six first months of my employment, I fulfilled the role of maintenance / project engineer before accepting the superintendent’s position, which included:

Supervision of 150 trades persons in the categories of instrumentation, millwrights, electricians, plumbers and labor, running three shifts 24 hours a day and seven days a week

Successfully managed a $6.5 million budget in addition to a project budget of $10 million

Lead a team that planned and implemented all major maintenance shut downs including supply chain management

Managed and developed safety protocols and process including inspections of process equipment, mining equipment and vehicles

Assist HR department with training procedures and continuing education of trade staff and maintenance crews

Assist in the development of Contractor Management policy for onsite contractors both long term as well as job specific contractors. Including safety protocols, training requirements, Job evaluations and Job Hazard Analysis

Ensure all processes and protocols are followed for safety and government regulated requirements are followed when equipment and personnel are brought to and leaving site

2003 to 2006: Venues Coordinator, 2005 Saskatchewan Summer Games

Development of logistics for 25 sport venues as well as 45 non-sport venues.

Sourcing and verifying all materials needed to outfit venues and assist in warehouse process for delivery of these items in a timely manner.

Documentation of all processes and procedures for the sites so that the information and process could be passed to the next host city.

Coordination of all closures detours and rerouting of city and provincial traffic, services and public transit effected by the numerous venue locations.

Quality Assurance inspections and analysis of a plastic plant that supplied bottles to Federated Co-Op oil refinery

Inspection of process equipment in an agricultural manufacturing plant, including planning for shutdowns and development of new work cells for developing new product lines and documentation and implementing ISO 9000 procedures.

Searching for and purchasing machining equipment for new milling processes for developing products;

Assisting in the design of the work cells and facilitated the construction of those cells.

Documentation of operation procedures and all safety and training documentation.

Development of maintenance procedures for all equipment in the plant and designed and implemented a warehousing system for parts and manuals for all equipment.

Heavy Mechanic

Prior to earning my degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, I worked for 11 years experience as a heavy mechanic in transportation and trucking industry, for companies such as Greyhound Bus lines, Mack Truck and Abramson Enterprises.
