EDUCATION BACKGROUND

University of Southern California, CA, U.S. Aug. 2019-May. 2021 Master of Science in Electrical Engineering

Course taken: Mathematical Pattern Recognition, Analysis of Algorithms University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL, U.S. Aug. 2015-May. 2019 Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Course taken: Data Structure, Artificial Intelligence, Intro to Robotics, Robot Dynamics and Control INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCES

Jiangsu Yosun Technology Co., Ltd. Intern at R & D Department Jun. 2018-Aug.2018

● Designed an Intelligent Operation and Maintenance Case, which can be installed on the crossroads for the operators to monitor and control the cameras and traffic lights remotely.

● Enabled the socket connection to receive traffic violation images from the cameras and process to client’s local files.

● Monitored all the status (e.g. hardware temperature, camera status) of the devices which allowed the remote operators to restart the system when necessary.

● Saved a lot of time and resources to check status of the system on site. Applied and got a patent.

(Application Number: 201821427517.9)

PROJECT EXPERIENCES

Race On Competition Autonomous Vehicle Aug. 2019-Dec. 2019

● Built a self-driving vehicle for designed track using the given self-driving car kit with Raspberry Pi3

(python) and a camera mounted at the top of the vehicle.

● Recognized the position of the vehicle by processing the images from the camera.

● Used the PID control for the vehicle to decelerate and accelerate the back tires around the turning point and turn the wheel angle of the front tires.

● Developed the control algorithm to keep the vehicle at middle of the track based on the position captured from the camera.

Artificial Intelligence Jan. 2019-May. 2019

● Used Minimax and Alpha-beta pruning algorithm as players strategy to solve the Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe problem.

● Used Naive Bayes model to classify Fashion images, like clothes, shoes, bags, etc.

● Implemented Q-learning algorithm to reinforcement learning of snake in the game Blockade to achieve better and better game results.

Robotic Arm Dynamic Control (https://sites.google.com/view/me446-final-project/home) Jan. 2018-May. 2018

● Designed a system to control the Robot Arm to stick into a target hole, move through a zigzag path and press an egg on a spring without breaking it.

● Used the PD and PID controller to control the three motors on the Robotic Arm by adjusting kp and kd gain of the controller.

● Used inverse dynamics controller to get a specific torque to control the Robotic Arm move in line trajectory and adjust the torque when stick into a hole and move through a zigzag to make sure it can go through it without stuck.

Line Following Autonomous Vehicle Aug. 2015-Dec. 2015

● Designed a line-following car using three parallel color sensors in front of the car which can stop automatically when approaching the barriers detected by ultrasonic sensors.

● Programmed Arduino using C to control the turning motor to turn left when left one or two following sensors are white only and turn right when right one or two following sensors are white only. SKILLS

Language: Python, C, C++, Matlab, SQL

IDE: IDEA, Atom, Sublime Text
