Attends progress meetings and provides updates Client with projection of costs as required.

Follow up with the Engineer/Contractor for the monthly progress Certificate, Payment and Change Orders.

Evaluate the Subcontractors monthly payment application and Issue Payment Certificates.

Prepare Subcontractors Final Forecast and update the liability sheets monthly.

Prepares variation orders through site visits to record information on claims/variations.

Evaluates variations and negotiate with the Engineer/Contractor/Subcontractor to get agreed.

Liaises with Contractors/Engineer’s to advise on requirements of contract.

In conjunction with the Project Manager and Project Engineers ensure that all monies due from client are claimed.

Ensure completion certificates are signed on completion of projects to evidence commencement of warranty periods.

Monitor material wastage and ensure unused materials are returned to stock.

Assists the Project Manager to prepare and approve Contractor’s final accounts.

Follow up with subcontractors for Contractual obligations before commencing works.

Make sure all guarantees and insurance valid for Contractor/Subcontractors.

Make sure warranties and outstanding works have been completed before issue completion certificate.

Prepare a project completion report reviewing production constants as a guide to future estimates.

Preparation of material master chart of projects (Comparison of take-off qty with indent, ordered, delivered and yet to delivered).

AS AN ESTIMATION ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scrutinizing of Tender documents (Drawings Specification Bill of Quantities) pertaining to Mechanical and Electrical works; ensure that all data required for pricing are available in the documents.

Verification of Qty -BOQ Vs SCH Vs Drawings.

Verify Circular/ addendum for further project update.

Estimate the material cost and labor cost at Bid stage & review Cost impact due to changes in Tender Contractual Documents.

Prepare and list out the assumption, exclusion and deviation of the project.
