Senior Director IT Infrastructure

Responsible for managing Global IT Infrastructure departments including, AWS, Azure and Google cloud services, Server, Storage and Network Services (voice and data), Messaging and Collaboration, Desktop and Help Desk services, Program and Project Management. Provide infrastructure support for product teams and R&D. Reporting to the CIO to provide effective leadership and strategic alliances established strong relations with other IT groups and business stakeholders, built high-performance global teams and set technology roadmaps that align with business strategy. Annual budget and monthly re-projection responsibilities for a $10M operational P&L budget.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Restructured regional IT teams across APAC, EMEIA, Nordics and North America into a center led global IT organization to better align with the business and become a stronger strategic partner.

Directed the efforts to move on-premise Exchange and SharePoint environments to Microsoft’s O365.

Oversaw the implementation Okta SSO/MFA solution securing access to corporate CRM, Financial/ERP and all other critical SaaS applications.

Led efforts to move critical workloads and corporate systems to AWS and Azure.

Led M&A IT integration efforts of acquisitions with values of up to $600 million.

Oversaw the contract negotiation and the implementation of Cisco’s Unified Contact Center Enterprise solution in support of inside sales and customer product support teams

Led the negotiation to outsource the internal Help Desk to a managed service provider to position the company for growth and move to a 24x7 support model.

Led cost reduction efforts for MPLS data circuits, WebEx, AWS and mobile devices for an annual savings $1.5M

Led IT security efforts and changes to meet GDRP compliance requirements.

Responsible for managing all aspects of several Global IT departments for a highly acquisitive company, including Server and Storage Services, Network Services, Messaging and Collaboration Services and Business Continuity Management. Responsible for over 1,000 Windows and Linux servers and approximately 800TB of SAN storage. Annual budget and monthly re-projection responsibility, with oversight of $8M in project work as well as $3M operational P&L budget.

Managed the design and implementation of a business to consumer web hosting and private cloud environments.

Directed the design and implementation of Cisco Sourcefire IPS throughout our global network further enhancing security.

Oversaw the implementation of F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM appliances replacing older outdate equipment.

Designed and implemented a VMware virtual server environment resulting in ongoing savings of over $1M per year.

Directed the design and implementation of Exchange/Lync 2013 Unified Communications solution.

Led a team tasked with relocating corporate data center, which was a ground up build of an 8,000 sq. foot data center. Provided leadership and oversight for all design/build functions.

Migrated existing HP/UX platform to Linux to address issues surrounding Oracle’s acquisition of Sun.

Project Manager for DuPont Chemical Performance Coatings and Senior Systems Administrator

Primary duties involved the planning and execution of multiple projects and working closely with client and project integration teams. Provided supervision and technical support to junior administrators and technicians. Responsibilities included administration, upgrades, installation and configuration of IT services and applications that supported the business. Facilitated the migration and decommission of Novell departmental servers to centrally managed Microsoft NT servers. This included migration of all software applications, data and user accounts into a new Windows Domain.

U.S. General Services Administration – Philadelphia, PA (1988 - 1997)
