Quality Control Umbilical Supervisor
Supervised inspectors and managed quality issues throughout the process of manufacturing in the umbilical building. Inspected, tested, and accepted the scope of work as defined in Inspection Test Plan, including conformance to DWGS, specs, and standards. Prepared and submitted monthly quality management reports. Supervise the inspection team and coordinate activities with the Engineering, Applications departments, Customers, welders, and x-ray technicians.
Issued non-conformance reports to clients and submitted to client reps within 48 hours of issue.
Consulted with Fugro Consultants, Inc to conduct a Radiographic Film Interpretation Training session to qualify six (6) additional X-Ray Film Interpreters to facilitate two shifts of welding operations.

TEXAS COUNTERDRUG TASK FORCE, Adjutant General’s Office (2+ year tour) 2009 - 2012
Oversaw the activities of six collection teams in support of the Texas Ranger Department responsible for Operation Border Star to monitor and react to drug traffic into the United States along the Texas-Mexico border.
Developed a Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) that gave guidance to facilitate the Border Star Operation with a mix of Texas Rangers Department, local police departments and US Border Patrol officers with the Texas Military Forces Command while on State Active Duty.

Quality Assurance Manager
Managed quality issues for materials, services, production manufacturing, and planning for umbilical factory and flexible pipe assembly facilities. Validated calibration of all equipment for work at sites. Scheduled and implemented external audits conducted on subcontractors and approve and/or disapprove access to the Approved Vendors List (AVL), based on outcome of the audit. Reviewed and approved purchase orders for outsourced inspection agencies that review subsea umbilical manufacturing. Conducted inspection “Hold” duties on supplier inspection test plans, liaising with other unit managers to establish priorities for inspection of internal/external manufacturing with respect to client requirements and schedule. Compiled quality and HSE documentation to support project closeout activities. Led quality aspects of production departments to ensure project requirements, deliveries, and specifications were maintained. Ensured all quality requirements of procured materials have been met. Maintain HSE aspects within the company.

I managed all aspects of Receiving Inspection, for products, materials and supplies for manufacturing, assembly and testing facilities. I was also responsible for non-conforming products that were on hold from receiving and in house manufacturing departments. I was responsible for managing a journal of all rejected products and chaired the Material Review Board (MRB) which made disposition of all rejected products. I coordinated Inspection Management and Product/Process Engineering to facilitate and schedule MRB meeting once a week. I served on a committee to develop, organize and implement plans for certification to ISO 9001 Standards.
ISO 9000 certification was obtained in 1996.

Quality Control/Assurance Manager and Sales Engineer
Started as an MB&F inspector and was steadily promoted through the ranks to Skilled Trades’ inspector, Line Supervisor, Senior Supervisor and finely Technical Sales Engineer. As manufacturing Quality Supervisor I coordinated with engineering for drawings required for bids, requisitions, and most manufacturing areas in support of inspection duties. As Sr. Supervisor of assembly, I helped with production planning and scheduling of assembly in accordance with plant capabilities and contract requirements. I was also in charge of the tear down and test area, of all products, to meet assembly standards set by GMC reliability standards. As Sales Engineer, a close relationship with clients was required on a daily basis. Individual detailed design for fleet units was normal and it was my responsibility to address, review, develop and schedule for build per client requirements and scheduled due dates.

On call for technical service, 24/7, and hands on trouble shooting at home plant or client location, resolving issues with customer concerns. Supported southeast region from Canada to Florida and the Mississippi to the Atlantic.
Random inspection calls on Vendor Suppliers for verification of process. Verify that product is to Allison Blue Prints and validate raw materials used in production of said products.

Retired Lt. Col. US Army having served in Artillery, Infantry, Aviation and Army Recruiting with 6 active duty and 47 reserve yrs. Currently active with West Point Admissions Field Force as US Military Academy Liaison Officer in two Texas Counties.
