3D Senior Piping Designer (Contract)

Currently, assisting in the Engineering Group with piping design efforts for capital and maintenance projects.

Communicating with Project Managers and Project Engineers to create Issued for Construction piping isometric drawings.

Performing extensive fieldwork with the assistance of an outside 3D laser scanning company on most projects to scan the project area.

Developing the best route for the new piping and properly supporting the new piping with the necessary pipe supports per the piping specifications.

Developing the tie-in locations with help of fieldwork and project P & ID’s.

Creating a model for all projects utilizing CadWorx Plant Professional SP3 2018.

A point cloud is provided by the laser scanning company and is referenced into the model to assist with the design work.

The laser scan is viewed with Autodesk Recap 2014 for coordination purposes and confirms the existing conditions.

Extracting piping isometrics from the model for fabrication and installation in the refinery with AutoCAD 2018.

Projects are then reviewed with project engineers for accuracy and any necessary modifications.

After approval the Issued for Construction drawings are entered into the SAP NetWeaver database system.

3D Senior Piping Designer (Contract)

Contributed to the piping design on a two-billion-dollar pharmaceutical project for the client Novo Nordisk.

Assigned to assist in the Purification Building of the project.

Working from the design P & ID’s to create piping routes from Mechanical Equipment and Process Skids to the main racks and tie-ins with the approval of the Project Manager.

Properly located and selected the correct piping supports as needed.

The piping design was done with multiple models for each area of the building.

Checked all of my own pipe lines with Navisworks 2016 Clash Detection Program.

Piping on this project was mostly Sanitary and Stainless Steel.

Extracted production Isometric’s for piping fabrication.

Attended weekly Piping Coordination meetings to help resolve any piping or mechanical issues.

Utilize AutoCAD 2016 Plant P3D & AutoCAD 2016 to produce the Issued for Construction drawings.

Involved on a fast-paced Slurry Upgrade Project for a dog food plant.

The projects were for Mead-Johnson and Sabic Company formerly GE Plastics.

The projects involved the relocation of existing Process equipment and installation of new process equipment.

Performed the necessary piping walk downs and extensive fieldwork.

Established the new routing of Process piping and completed a 3D model using 2014 AutoCAD Plant 3D.

The vendor drawings for the new equipment were in SolidWorks 2014.

They needed to be modified as necessary and were then inserted into the 3D model.

All tie-in isometrics were created using AutoCAD 2014. Also, produced all the final Orthographic drawings for the Issued for Construction package.
